Based on 13,865 reviewsJesús Restaurant in Barcelona is widely appreciated for its authentic Mediterranean and tapas offerings, particularly praised for fresh seafood dishes such as paella and seafood stew, as well as flavorful meat options like baked pork and meatballs. The establishment is noted for a cozy, family-run atmosphere complemented by a pleasant ambiance with low-volume music, enhancing the dining experience. While the location is convenient and charming, some feedback points to occasional lapses in attentive service, suggesting room for improvement in staff responsiveness. Overall, Jesús Restaurant is regarded as a hidden gem for those seeking genuine Mediterranean flavors in a relaxed setting.
If you’re Asian….they serve white rice lol. Kidding aside, the seafood stew was rich and the meatballs with rice was perfect. The sangria was a bit strong but maybe it was meant that way. Loved my experience here.
Nice food, baked pork tastes very good. Seafood mix is special. Nice service, great location.
We walked in without a reservation. Food was great, seafood was fresh. Paella was cooked well. The servers were all talking to each other at the front where I had to wave them a few times to get service. They should at least check on some of the tables once in a while.
Surprisingly good food, wonderful atmosphere, feels family owned and run. We had gazpacho calamari a la plancha, champinones and chorizo con sidra, all wonderful. The gazpacho had great fresh tomato taste, the calamari was the star, fresh, tender, tasty with a nice garlic butter arome. The mushrooms and chorizo were nothing like what we have in the U.S., a whole step above. Yet it's located in the middle of the gothic town. Not to be missed.
Wow! Great place for Barcelona paella. This place is hidden, however, the experience and views getting to the restaurant is as delicious and fulfilling as the meat paella I ordered. The journey to the restaurant is amazing. The ambience is quiet, low volume music, you can talk and enjoy. The menu is plentiful.
The portion of the lobster paella is quite big, suitable for sharing. Overall the food is very nice, especially black squid paella, calamari, seafood pasta. We like the atmosphere here, staffs are very nice and welcoming!!
Small, quiet spot away from all the hustle and bustle of La Rambla. Food was very good, particularly the seafood paella. We arrived and were sat quickly. Hostess and waiter were very nice and attentive. Food came out about 10 mins after ordering and it was good. If you’re in the area and are looking for good paella, this place won’t disappoint.
We were supposed to be dining in different restaurants but there is a long line and I google what is best paella around, MESÓN JESUS show up this is best suggestion ever. No exaggeration the staff is friendly the ambiance is cozy and the Tapas a lot of choices, the best part we have the Paella Negra and my husband enjoyed the crème brûlée everything is perfect and there is no line or to much crowd. Thank you for best experience
